“This new hairdryer is amazing, I don’t usually blow dry my hair at home, but now since I got this I can just do it myself atย home. It’s so quick, it’s so powerful, it’s got an extra-long lead so I can go to the other end of the room looking in the mirror, it comes in 3 different colours, I got the white one and also you can personalise it so I got my name across the front. It’s perfect!”

I love to use castor oil as a 100% affordable hair mask! Rub it into your scalp, wrap your hair in cling film (yes!!) and wash it out 30 mins later! Super soft hair ๐ X from a fellow Irish gal! X
My hair tip is a homemade hair mask that I apply once a week to keep my hair feeling soft and nourished. I mix one part of the following: coconut oil, olove oil, avocado oil. I leave it in my hair to soak over night, and wash my hair in the morning. Et voila…silky soft hair!
Hi Nicola,
Ok here goes I am going to share with you the worse hair disaster I have experienced! So about ten years ago my friend offered to colour my hair the night before a weekend away with my man. Great I thought ! Pamper night and saving some pennies what more could I ask for ?
If only I knew what was about to happen ! So it started well the wine was flowing my friend Mary seemed confident she knew what she was doing “my sisters a hairdresser I’ve checked it all out” ok I’m convinced enough I’m on my second glass of wine after all
So off we go, she put the colour on root to tip…… yes ROOT TO TIP, I was unaware as sitting in the kitchen enjoying a glass of Pinot, I couldn’t wait to show this off you know do the ‘subtle’ head spin when your guy is meant to notice something new and incredible about you and you just can’t wait to tell him off for not noticing ….
Here’s where the trauma sets in, we washed it off I felt like my nan! (Who wears a wig due to lack of hair) and I swear hands down she laughed ! Actually laughed out loud whilst she reassured me that I did not in fact look like a 90 year old lady who had a tough life
So I grabbed the bike…. as I drank too much to drive and cycled as fast as I could to the best salon in town… with my grey granny locks flowing in the wind. My world looked and felt different I was like a 100 and my man was going to mistake me for my nan if I did not sort this
On my arrival the stylist in charge of saving my life was like “you need to chop this off”, I refused…. then he said “there’s not much left to be fair” and when he showed me the back of my head in the mirror I looked like a granny. I had like a short mullet with a single rats tail hanging! I mean I was ready to say just chop my whole bloody head off in all honesty
The happy ever after part ….
So he chopped it, my name got changed from Amanda to A-MAN-der, life was tragic! My friendship was never the same and I think I have post traumatic stress as I experience flashbacks every time I walk past a pack of hair colour in the supermarket
My hair dryers getting old, please don’t let it catch my hair on fire! Give me a new one! (I don’t wanna blame you for my next hair disaster) ๐
Love Amanda
Ps your hair always looks amazing ๐
